This is new territory.
Each of the four years Brady Sallee has led the Ball State women's basketball program have ended with a trip to the Women's National Invitational Tournament. He's the only Ball State coach to do that three straight years, let alone four.
The program is on a roll, and even at the end of this season the Cardinals won five of six games before falling in the Mid-American Conference Tournament. This momentum has built and built, but with this new-found continuity comes a hunger for more success.
"If you look up in the rafters of our arena, you'll now see four straight years of success and what we've done," Sallee said, reflecting on the banners hung high in Worthen Arena to commemorate his team's trips to the WNIT.
