PORTLAND, Ind. — Carley Culberson was the first to emerge from the locker room as the Yorktown girls basketball team got ready to warm up before its road game against Jay County.
The junior's legs anxiously moved as she stood alongside her teammates, waiting for the junior varsity game to finish. Perhaps a little anxious, Culberson quickly refocused as she led her team onto the floor a few minutes later.
Playing there — in that gym — is something she's wanted to do her whole life.
