MUNCIE, Ind. - The Ball State field hockey team would like to welcome its newest signee for the 2021 season, Lieke Kapteijns, who will join the Cardinals from Weert, Netherlands.
Lieke attended Philips van Horne school and is looking forward to studying journalism at Ball State. Lieke is a defensive central midfielder and will be a huge asset for the Cardinals in the fall. The Cardinals will graduate senior Jenna McKune, who's (tiny) shoes will be hard to fill and Lieke is excited for the opportunity. At home, Lieke competes for her club team HV Weert, and she has won the Subtop championship twice in indoor and once in outdoor.
