MUNCIE, Ind. - The Ball State field hockey team has a busy weekend ahead of them as the Cardinals look to remain undefeated in Mid-American Conference action when they travel to Ohio on Friday for a 3 p.m. ET showdown in Athens. After that, Ball State returns to the Briner Sports Complex on Sunday at 1 p.m. ET to host Big Ten foe Indiana.
The Cardinals (3-5, 1-0 MAC) stingy defense continues to evolve throughout the season and last Friday was a testament to that as Ball State took down the Central Michigan Chippewas by a score of 2-1 in their league opener.
