Faith Hensley's walk-off home run lifts Ball State softball to victory over Western Michigan

MUNCIE, Ind. — Trailing 3-1 heading into the seventh inning, Ball State women's softball (16-23, 9-6 MAC) scored three runs in the bottom of the seventh inning, capped off by a two-run, walk-off home run by Faith Hensley to give the Cardinals a 4-3 victory.

The game-winner was Hensley's 16th home run of the season, which is tied for fourth-most in a single season in program history. Prior to Hensley's walk-off, Samantha-Jo Mata hit a solo home run in the bottom of the seventh inning to pull Ball State within one.

The Cardinals also saw hits from Haley Wynn, Delanie Johnson, Remington Ross and Hannah Dukeman.
