ALEXANDRIA — With 8.6 seconds left on the clock, Wapahani finally allowed itself to relax.
In those final moments of the sectional opener against Lapel at Alexandria, Wapahanis seniors Braxton Davis and Drew Luce shared a grin as they passed each other in front of the Bulldog's student section. Without saying a word, their smiles showed exactly what the 68-56 sectional opening-round victory meant for them.
"It was huge getting that win," Davis, who finished with a team-high eight rebounds and 14 points, said.
