BARTHOLOMEW COUNTY — Saturday's Indiana High School Athletic Association gymnastics regional at Columbus East has been postponed following a head-on crash with a school bus carrying the New Castle gymnastics team.
According to a Facebook post by Bartholomew County Sheriff Matt Myers, county deputies were dispatched to the 17000 Block of East SR 46 at 9:19 a.m. The bus carrying New Castle gymnasts and coaches collided head-on with a Ford SUV.
All the players were checked by and released at the scene and an assistant coach was transported to Columbus Regional Hospital with reported rib pain.
