MUNCIE, Ind. -- Eleven Ball State student-athletes from the 2018 spring sports season were selected as Mid-American Conference Distinguished Scholar Athletes for their excellence in competition and in the classroom.
The recipients were chosen by the league's faculty athletics representatives as the "best of the best" from each sport's previously announced Academic All-MAC teams.
Gabby Sims (outdoor track and field) earned the honor for the third straight year. She is also a three-time recipient of the award for indoor track. Her teammates Regan Lewis and Peyton Stewart were honored for the second year in a row, as were men's tennis player Conner Anderson and baseball player T.
