INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. — Thursday’s IHSAA boys track Regional 5 at Lawrence Central saw some of the state’s fastest times, tightest races and multiple state-ranked teams collide for the overall title.
Although East Central Indiana’s teams struggled to challenge their formidable Indianapolis-area opponents for the team regional title, a number of individual athletes enjoyed successful evenings at Ed Martin Stadium.
A total of 11 area athletes either finished in the top-three places in their respective events or met automatic state-qualifying standards, and will compete at the IHSAA state meet on June 2 at IU-Bloomington’s Robert C.
