MUNCIE, Ind. — Boys wrestling begins the 2022 IHSAA winter sports sectional season, and East Central Indiana squads are eager to face the best.
Area teams and individuals performed well last year, and with six returning 2021 state qualifiers — five more than in 2020 — ECI wrestling is continuing to improve. There are several other semistate qualifiers and top-10 ranked wrestlers locally as well, so there is plenty of talent to watch throughout the postseason.
With the help of suggestions from coaches, here are the top ECI wrestlers in each weight class:

Bollinger (26-2) has not only been one of the area's top freshmen but one of the top wrestlers overall.
