Four East Central Indiana boys basketball teams — Blackford, Cowan, New Castle and Wapahani — won their respective sectional championships Saturday.
Blackford cruised to a victory over Taylor but that was the only game that wasn't close. Cowan, New Castle and Wapahani edged out single-digit wins while Blue River fell by just two points to Seton Catholic.

New Castle 51, Hamilton Heights 49
If you believe that records matter in the postseason, meet New Castle. The Trojans (9-15) came into the postseason with just seven wins — tied for the lowest amount of victories in Sectional 24 — but walked away as sectional champions following their 51-49 victory over Hamilton Heights (17-5).
