MUNCIE, Ind. — Playing in the first game of his varsity career, Delta quarterback Kaiden Bond was selected as The Star Press' football Player of the Week.
The sophomore got the job done, more so with his feet than with his arm, in Delta's 49-6 victory over Muncie Central. Bond finished his debut with 51 rushing yards and two rushing touchdowns off nine carries and went 2-for-2 passing with 34 yards, including a 22-yard touchdown pass to senior Parker Faletic in the final seconds of the first half.
This week's voting came down to three players, but Bond proved to be the fan favorite.
