MUNCIE, Ind. — The spring postseason All-State, All-Conference and All-County teams have been rolling out this week for baseball and softball.
Four East Central Indiana athletes were selected to the Softball Coaches Association of Indiana All-State teams.
In Class 1A/2A, Cowan's Tatum Rickert (first team), Winchester's Gena Moore (second team) and Daleville's Valyn Pattengale (third team) were selected. Yorktown's Alanah Jones was a second team Class 3A/4A All-State selection. Both Moore and Jones were named SCAI All-Stars.
Rickert led Cowan to its second-straight semistate appearance. She batted .562 with 45 hits and 35 RBIs. In the circle, Rickert went 14-5 with a 2.
