MUNCIE, Ind. — This is the stuff head coach James Whitford was trying to bring up with his team, before Ball State's captain interrupted him:
Following three straight losses, Ball State has three straight wins after knocking off Eastern Michigan 79-72 Tuesday night.
The Cardinals still control their own destiny. If they win out, they’re guaranteed a top-four seed and a precious first-round bye in the Mid-American Conference Tournament.
This all feels pretty similar to last season, doesn’t it? When Ball State crumbled under pressure and lost its last two games, then lost in a MAC tourney play-in game on its home court.
