Donan Cruz named COTY, 4 BSU MVB players named All-Americans and IHSAA sectional realignments

MUNCIE, Ind. — The awards keep coming for Ball State men's volleyball.

First-year head coach Donan Cruz was selected the 2022 American Volleyball Coaches Association National Coach of the Year at the Men's Division I/II level. Four players — graduate Quinn Isaacson (setter), senior Kaleb Jenness (outside attacker), graduate Angelos Mandilaris (opposite) and senior Felix Egharevba (middle blocker) also earned NVA/AVCA All-America honors. Isaacson and Jenness were First Team selections, Mandilaris earned Second Team honors and Egharevba was an honorable mention.

Cruz led Ball State to a 23-3 record, which included a 12-2 mark in Midwestern Intercollegiate Volleyball Association play, the league's regular season and tournament titles and the Cardinals' first appearance in the NCAA Tournament since 2002.
