MUNCIE, Ind. — Neither Amechi Uzodinma II nor Antonio Phillips became shy last week, when they were asked to react to the praise one of their coaches had for them.
Uzodinma and Phillips are both cornerbacks for Ball State's football team. Uzodinma is a junior out of Florida, and Phillips a senior out of Missouri. In October, knowing what the pair accomplished in 2019, BSU defensive coordinator Tyler Stockton referred to them as “the best duo in the country” during a radio appearance on “Monday Night with the Red & White” on Muncie’s Sports Station.
And upon hearing the compliment last week, Uzodinma and Phillips were quick to support the notion.
