MUNCIE, Ind. — The departures of K.J. Walton, Ishmael El-Amin and Jarron Coleman left a void in Ball State men’s basketball’s backcourt.
Walton and El-Amin were seasoned veterans who chose to use their extra year of eligibility at Akron and Rhode Island, respectively. Coleman — a veteran in his own right, just less experienced — did the same when he left after the 2020-21 season for Missouri. And in their place, BSU has a mix of returning players and newcomers.
Maybe it’s Luke Bumbalough or Jalen Windham, guards who’re headed toward their third years in college with the 2021-22 campaign.
