KOKOMO, Ind. — The Delta baseball season that went longer than anyone thought it would held true to form Saturday afternoon at Kokomo Municipal Stadium, even in a 15-4 defeat.
Western fans raised their cell
Pinch hitter Austin Haynes, who had 17 plate appearances all season, lined a double to right field. Then Mitchell Hahn followed suit with a two-bagger of his own. And finally, Arian Coffey hit another double to cap a two-run rally and extend the game another inning.
The same scene unfolded again in the sixth inning after the Panthers went up 13-3.
