MUNCIE, Ind. — From beginning to end, this year's Delaware County track and field meet was special.
Host Delta on Friday saw both its boys and girls teams win their second straight titles, but the area's collective performance made the evening a nonstop thrill.
Local athletes combined to break nine meet records, the most ever in a single year in the event's history. Several prior top marks had stood for decades.

Gretchen Moore (Yorktown, girls shot put, 40-feet-2-inches)
On her first attempt, Moore set the county's new girls shot put record by 14 inches, breaking Delta alumnus Jill Justus' previous best mark set in 1986.
