MUNCIE, Ind. — The battle between the state's top passing duo and leading rusher did not disappoint.
New Castle quarterback Niah Williamson and receiver Luke Bumbalough put up huge numbers, but Delta came up with three stops in the second half for a 56-49 win on Friday night. Eagles running back Charlie Spegal had another huge night with 43 carries, 353 yards and six touchdowns.
Williamson finished 36-61 for 468 yards, six touchdowns and two interceptions, one of which Delta's Tyler Gilland returned 56 yards for a touchdown to give the Eagles a 42-35 lead in the third quarter.
