INDIANAPOLIS — As the last of the NCAA Tournament's First Four matchups, an overtime game between Michigan State and UCLA wrapped up at 12:46 a.m. Friday morning in West Lafayette Friday (yes, seriously), Cade Brown was in his car driving north along I-69.
Just 14 minutes earlier at 12:32 a.m., Brown got in his car to head back to Muncie.
Brown, a 2020 Delta High School graduate and freshman exercise science major at Ball State, arrived in Indianapolis around 8 p.m. Thursday night to work for with what he called "the laundry crew." Believe it or not, it was a shorter day than the previous two he had worked.
