MUNCIE, Ind. — What a roller-coaster week for Chase Wright.
The 28-year-old Delta graduate began it Monday by missing out on qualifying for the US Open, and he ended it by hoisting a trophy.
Wright won the Rust-Oleum Championship on Sunday at Ivanhoe Club in Mundelein, Ill. He shot a final-round 68 to finish at 17-under and qualify for a playoff with Alex Prugh. Wright then birdied the second playoff hole to earn his first Web.com Tour victory in 83 starts.
"Great feeling," Wright told PGATour.com. "I'm sure it'll sink in a little bit more tomorrow.
