MUNCIE, Ind. — Similarly to its dominance at the turn of the century, Delta boys track and field is in another golden age.
The hosting Eagles on Thursday won their third straight sectional title, notching 144 points to edge second-place Muncie Central (111) and third-place Yorktown (103). They qualified for regionals in 13 events and shared the trophy with Delta's girls team for the second straight season.
While the program has come to expect compete for titles, head coach Shane Conley said the thrill of victory isn't diminished.
"I don't think it'll ever get old because meets are so different year-to-year, and even week-to-week.
