MUNCIE, Ind. — Before the Blackhawks' wrestling team left Cowan High School Saturday morning, head coach Tony Abbott reminded them of the goal they had since before the season even began.
"I reminded the guys that, in all but team state, we've been perfect," Abbott said. "We've won everything we've entered except the team state ... our goal was to win a sectional title this year. I reminded them before we left the school, 'That's what we're going there to do.'"
Going into the finals, Cowan knew it would already be sending 12 wrestlers to the Jay County regional.
