Comeback Falls Short as Ball State Drops 3-2 Decision to UC Santa Barbara

MUNCIE, Ind. – After falling behind 2-1, the Ball State University men's volleyball team fought back to force a fifth set, but a career high in kills from freshman Kaleb Jenness wasn't quite enough as the Cardinals fell, 3-2, on Friday night at Worthen Arena.

BSU dropped to 2-4 for the season with the loss while CSUB improved to 4-3 on the year.

Kills in the match were even at 57 apiece, but the Gauchos outhit the Cardinals .311 to .276 on the night. Ball State had the advantage in digs with 38 to UCSB's 35.
