MUNCIE, Ind. — Charlie Spegal wasn't on the field as Delta celebrated its senior class before Friday's game against New Palestine.
He was in the visiting team's locker room. And during the game, he lined up alongside his New Palestine teammates.
The senior running back and Mr. Football candidate said it was weird lining up opposite Delta. After all, Spegal grew up in Muncie and played his freshman and sophomore years in an Eagles uniform.
The last time Spegal played at Delta was Oct. 20, 2017, when the Eagles lost in the first round of the sectional against Marion.
