Cardinals Battle Eagles to Scoreless Draw

MUNCIE, Ind. – The Ball State soccer team returned to the friendly confines of the Briner Sports Complex for the Mid-American Conference opener Thursday. The Cardinals battled the Eastern Michigan Eagles to a 0-0 draw. Maya Millis produced the play of the game with a team save to secure the draw in double overtime.

At the nine-minute mark, Millis put the first shot on target of the game but was unable to beat the EMU keeper. Kennedy Metzger ripped a shot on net, but the Eagle goalie made a big stop 35 minutes into the match.
