MUNCIE, Ind. — Caleb Huntley remembers the moment when he realized it was time he moved on from Ball State football.
It came close to a month after the running back said he fractured his ribs during the Cardinals’ win against Eastern Michigan this past November. It came after he played through that pain against Northern Illinois one week later, a game in which BSU offensive coordinator and then-running backs coach Kevin Lynch remembers being told Huntley might not be available in the second half. Huntley ran for three touchdowns and more than 200 yards against EMU, and a score and more than 100 yards against NIU.
