OXFORD, Ohio – It was a close contest for the two longtime rival programs, as the Cardinals (6-11, 1-4 MAC) had entered today's contest winning the last seven meetings against the RedHawks (12-4, 3-2 MAC).
Today's game consisted of 16 lead changes and four ties. It looked as if the Cardinals were going to hold onto their 55-53 lead with three minutes remaining after senior guard Jasmin Samz knocked one down from behind the arc. But the RedHawks Leah Purvis answered on the opposite end of the court to give Miami control of the game for good.
