Bishop Chatard, Ball State alum Aaron Hepp will be at CFP National Championship

INDIANAPOLIS — Aaron Hepp is plenty familiar with Lucas Oil Stadium.

Before he spent four and a half years playing wide receiver at Ball State (2012-16), Hepp won back-to-back state championships at Lucas Oil for Bishop Chatard High School in 2010 and 2011. An Indianapolis native, Hepp also said he's been to "a million" Colts games growing up.

On Monday, Hepp will return to Lucas Oil Stadium in a different role. He will be on the field, but not in pads as Alabama and Georgia square off for the 2022 College Football Playoff National Championship.

Hepp, now a senior broadcast producer and editor at the University of Alabama, will be on the sideline and behind the scenes as the Crimson Tide aim to add to their 18 claimed national championships and bring head coach Nick Saban potentially his eighth national title (seventh with Alabama).
