MUNCIE, Ind. — The zero may loom large in that box score, but it doesn’t in the minds of Ball State football’s players and coaches.
The zero, in this case, signifies the lack of a sack last weekend in the Cardinals’ season opener against the Indiana Hoosiers. It’s a contributing factor to the 0-1 record Ball State will carry into its first game at Scheumann Stadium this season on Saturday against Fordham — a Football Championship Subdivision opponent. But it’s not something that’s crushed the spirit of the Cardinals’ pass rush.
