MUNCIE, Ind. – James Whitford has fond memories of the trip Ball State’s men’s basketball program took to the Bahamas in 2015.
In fact, the Cardinals’ coach thought it was a blast. And after that journey his team went on to win 14 more games than it had the season before, not to mention a share of the Mid-American Conference West Division title. But while the trip served the program well on the court, he didn’t feel it represented the cultural experience it could have off it.
The team stayed at the Atlantis and didn’t discover what life is like in the Bahamas, for instance.
