Two Ball State track and field athletes, Charity Griffith and Kayla Jones, earned qualification in the 2022 NCAA Division I Women's Outdoor Track and Field East Preliminary Championships this week.
The event takes place at Indiana University May 25-28. Athletes who finish in the top 12 of their respective events will qualify for the NCAA championships in Eugene, Oregon, June 8-11.
Griffith will compete in the high jump at 2:30 p.m. May 28. Her high jump of 1.81 meters set at the Hurricane Collegiate Invitational (March 26) is tied for the 14th-best mark in the field and 28th-best mark in the country.
