Ball State women's tennis season ends, BSU baseball keeps rolling, prep results and more

MUNCIE, Ind. — Ball State's women's tennis team saw another season come to an end in the first round of the NCAA Tournament.

The Cardinals, who advanced to their second-straight NCAA Tournament, were tasked with playing No. 4 Texas. The Longhorns were the reigning national champions. Ball State (19-5) fell to Texas (21-4) by a 4-0 final.

The Longhorns' No. 1 doubles team of Peyton Stearns/Allura Zamarripa defeated Ball State's Amy Kaplan/Hannah Davies 6-4 while their No. 2 doubles team of Kylie Collins/Charlotte Chavatipon took down Mariya Polishchuk/Emma Peeler 6-0.
