Ball State women's basketball falls in WNIT, eager to build off this season's success

MILWAUKEE — All season, Brady Sallee has commended the ability Ball State's women's basketball team has had to learn from games, both wins and losses, and put them in the rearview mirror.

Ball State's Mid-American Conference championship loss last Saturday was different. On Monday, the Ball State head coach said his players were still discussing the narrow defeat — which would've given the program its second NCAA Tournament berth — and how they weren't over it. That day, it learned who it would be playing in the first round of the Women's National Invitation Tournament (WNIT).
