Ball State, Western Michigan men's basketball game has been postponed

MUNCIE, Ind. — The Ball State men's basketball game against Western Michigan scheduled for Jan. 5 has been postponed, according to a release from the athletic department.

"Due to COVID-19 protocols, Tuesday's men's basketball game has been postponed to a later date," the statement read. "We will continue to follow the guidance of health officials and cooperate with our partners to ensure a safe competitive environment."

This marks the first time the Cardinals (4-4) have had a game postponed this season. In the fall, the Ball State football team had none of its games postponed or canceled, but five Mid-American Conference football games were canceled due to COVID-19.
