Ball State tight ends named All-Americans, volleyball players earn All-Region awards

Four Ball State athletes were honored with national and regional awards Tuesday.

In football, Ball State tight end duo Brady Hunt and Tanner Koziol were selected by College Football News as Freshman All-Americans. In volleyball, Marie Plitt and Megan Wielonski received All-Midwest Region honors by the American Volleyball Coaches Association.

Hunt was a Freshman All-American First Team selection while Koziol received Third Team honors. The two combined for 81 catches, 871 receiving yards and 12 TDs.

Hunt, a redshirt freshman, had 46 catches for 498 yards. In Mid-American Conference play, he had 34 catches for 401 receiving yards.
