Ball State men's volleyball swept by Loyola in potential MIVA Championship match; prep results

CHICAGO — Ball State's men's volleyball team had a chance to clinch its first outright Midwestern Intercollegiate Volleyball Association regular-season title since 1997 Thursday night at Loyola. The Cardinals fell short and were swept 3-0 (25-18, 25-19, 28-26) by the Ramblers.

Ball State was led by Kaleb Jenness (15 kills), Angelos Mandilaris (14 kills) and Quinn Isaacson (29 assists, five digs).

With the loss, Ball State (19-3, 11-2 MIVA) is now tied with Loyola (17-7, 11-2 MIVA) for the league lead. The Ramblers have beaten the Cardinals twice this season. Ball State wraps up its regular season at Purdue Fort Wayne Saturday.
