Ball State football is confident, eager in year 4 of Mike Neu era despite recent struggles

MUNCIE, Ind. — Some Cardinals are dancing.

First it’s because of Jeezy’s “Soul Survivor,” featuring Akon. Then BlocBoy JB’s “Look Alive,” featuring Drake, bumps through the sound system. Later Guns N’ Roses’ “Welcome to the Jungle” has some heads bobbing.

It’s the third Ball State football practice of fall camp, the first Sunday in August, and the energy along the sidelines at the Cardinals’ practice fields, in huddles and on the fields is palpable.
