Ball State football may not be traveling to face Indiana or Michigan this season, but that doesn't mean it won't face a Power 5 conference opponent.
BSU announced Tuesday that it was adding a Sept. 12 non-conference contest in Ames, Iowa against Iowa State — a Big 12 program.

"Our position in this rapidly-evolving environment has been, and will be, to proactively work to provide student-athletes the best opportunities to compete as we monitor the landscape," Ball State athletic director Beth Goetz said in a release.
