MUNCIE, Ind. — Think back to a time long ago. Ball State was clicking on all cylinders after a dominating win at Toledo, looking like a team that could maybe, just maybe, challenge Buffalo in the MAC. The Cardinals looked like a potential NCAA Tournament team. Remember?
Well, that was just last week. And a whole lot has changed.
Ball State has some soul-searching to do after trailing wire-to-wire Saturday against Ohio and never seriously mounting a threat in the 70-52 defeat. The Bobcats (9-6, 1-2 MAC) had a double-digit lead for the final 29 minutes of the game, and the closest the Cardinals (10-6, 1-2) got in the second half was 14.
