MUNCIE, Ind. — The Ball State baseball team made history Saturday, throwing its first nine-inning no-hitter in program history.

John Baker and Luke Jaksich combined on the feat in Ball State’s 5-0 win over Ohio University on Saturday, part of a three-game weekend sweep.

Baker (7-1) started the game and pitched the first seven innings, striking out 10 and coming out after 116 pitches. Jaksich got the final six outs.

The Cardinals are now 20-1 at home, with three more to play next weekend at the friendly confines of Ball Diamond.
