Ball State baseball loses to Ohio in 10 innings

Ball State baseball (15-12, 2-2 MAC) came back from a three-run deficit to force extra innings against Ohio University (11-14, 2-2 MAC), but six unearned runs in the top of the 10th inning cost the Cardinals in a 12-6 loss.

Head coach Rich Maloney said Ohio simply played better in the game.

"They won this game," he said. "They deserved to win it because they made a few more plays. We had opportunities and didn't get it done."

In the top of the 10th, sophomore right-handed pitcher Colin Brockhouse was on the mound with the game tied 6-6.
