CLEVELAND, Ohio - Junior Lucas Andersen of the Ball State men's tennis team earned Mid-American Conference Tennis Singles Player of the Week, the conference office announced Thursday.
Andersen hleped Ball State earn a 5-2 victory at home last Saturday over Butler. Andersen took down the Bulldogs Mikheil Khmiadashvil in a three set thriller (6-3, 3-6, 7-6 (8-6) on the top court. Andersen's win was the deciding match to clinch the victory for the Cardinals. Andersen also won at No. 1 doubles with partner Andrew Stutz. With the win, Andersen improves his spring dual singles mark to 7-3 on the season.
