YORKTOWN, Ind. — The Yorktown girls swimming squad will embark upon sectional competition this Thursday andSaturday at Fishers High School.
Swimming prelims commence Thursday at 6 p.m. with finals plus diving beginning at 9 a.m. Saturday. Other teams competing include Anderson, Elwood Community, Fishers, Hamilton Heights, Hamilton Southeastern, Lapel, Liberty Christian, Marion, Mississinewa, Oak Hill and Pendleton Heights.
First place sectional winners in each swimming event automatically qualify for the state finals Feb. 10-11 atIndiana University Natatorium. In addition, any contestant who equals or betters the state time standard in theirrespective event in the consolation finals or championship finals of the sectional qualifies for the state finals.
