YORKTOWN, Ind. — Austin Stout was talking with Indiana State baseball coach Mitch Hannahs during the second game of the Indiana Prospects doubleheader at Grand Park in Westfield last week.
Stout is the director of player development for the Prospects, assistant coach at Yorktown and the one who convinced incoming Tigers senior Parker Stinson to join the summer developmental team.
Hannahs was there to watch Stinson, who Indiana State had been tracking since the spring.
A year earlier, the outfielder wasn’t on the Sycamores radar. He wasn’t on anyone’s radar since he didn’t play varsity baseball until this past spring.
