After clinching 1st MIVA title in decades, Ball State men's volleyball shifts focus to postseason

MUNCIE, Ind. — Last Thursday, Ball State's men's volleyball team traveled up to Chicago with a chance to do something no Cardinals team had done in 25 years — win an outright Midwestern Intercollegiate Volleyball Association regular season title.

It just had to beat Loyola, not an easy task considering the Ramblers were the only league team which beat the Cardinals in 2022. Riding a 10-match winning streak, the Cardinals struggled against the Ramblers. Loyola went on streaks to win the first and second sets and dominated from the service line. Ball State, despite having set point at 24-21 in the third set, was swept.
