MUNCIE, Ind. — The day before Central's doubleheader against Logansport, Chandler Thompson sat behind the scorers table at Muncie Fieldhouse.
Back inside the historic gym — where he helped Central go 28-1 and win its eighth state championship in 1988 — he was smiling.
As practice was getting ready to start Thursday night, each player that walked by him came up to shake his hand and ask how he was feeling. "Good," he responded each time before joking around or talking basketball with them.
