Ask Chandler Thompson. Ask Greg Miller. Ball State Athletics might be celebrating on Saturday the 1989-90 Cardinals team they played for that reached the Sweet 16 of the NCAA Tournament. Their team, in addition to the Cardinals' 1995 and 2000 NCAA Tournament teams, will be honored at a BSU home game against Eastern Michigan as a part of Ball State Basketball Alumni Day. But while the day will bring into focus the 30-year anniversary of the run Thompson and Miller helped take the program on, while it’s a reason for those who can make it to get together, it’s not as if their bonds wouldn’t remain strong otherwise.
