5 Questions: Catching up with Walter Fletcher ahead of his 1st season in the Canadian Football League

MUNCIE, Ind. — Walter Fletcher may have only spent one season with Ball State football, back in 2019 as a graduate transfer running back, but that didn’t keep him from following along closely in 2020 as the Cardinals embarked on a historic campaign.

Fletcher — who rushed for 726 yards and tallied 306 receiving yards for BSU in 2019 — said he watched every game in 2020 from start to finish. He said he was happy to see Ball State win the Mid-American Conference. He said he knew that 2020 was going to be a successful season, and that the fact that thought came to fruition is a credit to head coach Mike Neu and the belief the players have in Neu.
